Position Summary:
The Executive Director of Revenue Cycle Hospital Operations is a highly skilled and innovative thinker who is responsible for the strategic alignment and direction of the daily activities and performance of the (pre AR) revenue cycles associated with all patient encounter activity primarily at The Johns Hopkins Hospital but extending to Johns Hopkins Health System.
In partnership with the Core Patient Access Services, directs and oversees registration functions across the delivery system; designing standardized processes aligned with leading practice standards
This role provides vision and leads teams responsible for the design, implementation, and coordination of a system-level approach to Patient Access registration-related services. The Executive Director of Revenue Cycle Registration/ Hospital Site Operations will work in collaboration with Senior Revenue Cycle Leadership, Clinical Operations, and Clinical Leadership across all JHHS entities to enhance the patient experience, achieve the best possible outcomes, support revenue cycle and financial improvement, and drive performance.
The Executive Director will lead the team with vision and clear communication, be able to achieve consensus in high-stakes conversations, employ a collaborative style, use good listening skills, and have a keen sense of organization and prioritization to deliver successful outcomes. This will be reflected in the achievement of ensuring high-level patient experience and in the metrics of the department, which will demonstrate consistent excellent results in all of the areas of responsibility.
This position is responsible for directing and planning the activities and resources associated with the Revenue Cycle processes of JHHS specifically The Johns Hopkins Hospital. The responsibility will include the coordination and direction of the implementation of the Epic system and upgrades for the revenue cycle including Access and hospital billing (HB). Primary responsibilities to include acting as the liaison between the JHM Core Patient Access Services, JHHS Patient Financial Services and the Consolidated Business Office hospital revenue cycle functions.
