Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center is 420 bed teaching hospital, trauma center, neonatal intensive care unit, geriatrics center, and is home to the Johns Hopkins Burn Center, the only adult burn trauma in Maryland. The Patient Care Manager is responsible for directing the provision of nursing care on an assigned patient care unit, clinic, or other out-patient setting. Supervises and monitors professional and non-professional staff, and ensures effective, safe and therapeutic nursing services meet established Hospital and accrediting agency regulations and guidelines.

What is needed?

  • Work requires the level of knowledge of theories, principle, and concepts typically acquired through the completion of a Bachelor's degree in nursing or a closely related field and five years of previous experience. MS in strongly preferred.
  • Current state licensure as Registered Nurse required.
  • Annual certification in CPR.
  • Requires the analytical skills necessary to resolve day‑to‑day problems related to the supervision of employees and resolve technical or administrative problems requiring technical training in a specific discipline or extensive experienced‑based knowledge.
