The Transplant Nurse Coordinator - Bone Marrow Transplant prepares patients for transplantation through arranging and monitoring required testing, providing education and ensuring that internal and external activities are coordinated.

Other responsibilities include:

  • Assessment of patient health status through diagnostic procedures and tests, review of labs and other clinical indicators
  • Provides patient care working closely with other members of the transplant team.
  • Collects and maintains data required for patient care, research and reporting to outside agencies.
  • Assumes responsibility for on call activities that include organizing transplants and triaging patient problems.

Qualifications:

  • BSN from an accredited nursing program required
  • Active Maryland or Compact RN license is required
  • BLS CPR certification required
  • Minimum of 2 years RN experience in oncology; Hematology or Bone Marrow Transplant experience preferred
  • Ability to analyze data to synthesize and summarize information, and to make judgments regarding patient care
  • Ability to perform to patient triage simple and complex problems by telephone

Salary Range: Minimum 46.57 per hour - Maximum 72.18 per hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.

In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
