About Us
The Johns Hopkins Pediatric Sleep Center provides comprehensive evaluation, family-centered care, and treatment for children with sleep-disordered breathing and sleep apnea. Our pediatric polysomnography laboratories, accredited by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine, are located at five sites throughout Maryland and Florida.
Our laboratory specialists are experts at conducting sleep studies for even the youngest children, ensuring a supportive experience for both patients and families. Our multidisciplinary sleep clinics, located at Mt. Washington Pediatric Hospital and Johns Hopkins Children’s Center, provide access to highly trained physicians, respiratory therapists, and cognitive behavioral therapists who help children and families manage sleep disorders.

Position Summary
The Sleep Lap Respiratory Therapist Night Shift, provides high-quality respiratory care to pediatric patients, including routine and complex procedures. This role requires collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to ensure patient care meets the highest quality standards set by Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital (JHACH) and regulatory agencies.
The therapist is responsible for maintaining the skills and knowledge necessary to provide safe, effective, and developmentally appropriate respiratory care for patients from neonates to adolescents. As part of the care team, the therapist contributes to positive patient outcomes and upholds the high standards of care at JHACH.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree in Respiratory Therapy
- Current Florida Respiratory Therapist Licensure
- Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) or an equivalent credential acceptable to NBRC
- Graduate of a CoARC-approved Registered Respiratory Therapy Program
- Minimum of one year of experience as a Respiratory Therapist preferred (new graduates may apply)
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
- Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification from the American Heart Association (or must be obtained within the 120-day orientation period)
- Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification is required if working in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit

Salary Range: Minimum $29.74/hour - Maximum $47.58/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
