Title: Clinical Dietitian Specialist 1
Location: Johns Hopkins Hospital
Job Summary: The Clinical Dietitian Specialist 1 will be:
Practicing as an expert in the application of the nutrition care process and theory. Documents in the medical record using the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics’ standardized language as part of the Nutrition Care Process.
Performing nutrition assessments and identifying nutrition diagnoses; recommending and implementing nutrition care plans based on evidence-based practice. Identifies appropriate nutrition diagnosis and malnutrition criteria. Identifies age-specific physical, psychosocial and cultural needs when carrying out patient activities.
Precepting, teaching, and coordinating learning experiences for dietetic interns/students enrolled in the JHHS dietetic education programs.
Requirements: Must be credentialed as a Registered Dietitian (RD) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration and licensed as a Dietitian-Nutritionist (LDN) in Maryland.
Requires a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.

Salary Range: Minimum $29.86/hour - Maximum $49.31/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
