Position Summary: Receive inbound contacts (calls, internal and external referrals, emails, faxes, in-baskets, etc.) from patients, patient contacts and physician offices requesting services within JHMI. Place outbound calls to initiate services within JHMI. Coordinate complex appointment scheduling of consults, return visits, and ancillary services required for assigned specialty services within the department. Maintaining patient demographic and insurance pre-registration information in appropriate department scheduling system(s) (OCIS, MOSAIQ or Epic). Document patient encounters utilizing CMS. Provide patients with information on physicians, billing and costs, directions to locations and educational materials. Answers patients or physicians’ questions. Interviews callers to obtain full understanding of what information or services that are being requested. Initiate MyChart sign-up. Provide high quality customer service on every call. Promote teamwork and call center success. Occasionally expected to train new hires regarding department processes and protocols. Depending on staffing and call volume, may be required to cross train to other departments to assist with patient calls. Responsible for satisfying the customer and maintaining the image of JHM.

Salary Range: Minimum $18.59/hour - Maximum $​​​​30.69/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.

In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
