As a Physical Therapist Assistant I, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to execute treatment plans for homebound patients. This role requires independence, strong clinical skills, and the ability to adapt to diverse home environments while adhering to Medicare and ICAHO guidelines.
Implement treatment plans as directed by the supervising Physical Therapist, ensuring adherence to frequency and duration specifications.
Document patient progress, strength, ROM, balance, and functional mobility using objective measures.
Communicate effectively with patients, caregivers, physicians, and the rehab team to coordinate care.
Conduct discharge planning and make referrals for ongoing services as needed.
Provide patient/caregiver education and address safety needs.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with agency, state, and federal regulations.
Participate in continuing education, in-services, and departmental initiatives.
Education: A.A. Degree from an approved Physical Therapist Assistant program.
Licensure/Certification:
Current Maryland Physical Therapist Assistant License.
Certification in Adult and Pediatric CPR.
Valid Maryland Driver’s License, auto insurance, and reliable transportation.
Experience: 1+ year in clinical care (acute, subacute, or home health preferred).
Skills:
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and adapt to varied home environments.
Excellent time management and organizational skills.
Knowledge of infection control and emergency preparedness.
Salary Range: Minimum $23.27/hour - Maximum $40.91/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
