The Johns Hopkins Hospital Oncology Functional Unit Nurse (OFUN) is a clinical role designed to support inpatient and outpatient nursing services within our Comprehensive Cancer Center. Our adult patients have solid or liquid tumors and are being treated with surgical interventions, radiation therapies, standard of care and research chemo, and immunotherapies. Care is delivered on a continuum that incorporates acute, intermediate and critical care nursing services. These Registered Nurses (RNs) will be flexible to provide nursing care to any units within the department as well as operate as shift coordinator when needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in nursing from an accredited nursing program.
  • Active Maryland or Compact RN license is required
  • BLS CPR certification
  • 2 years of acute care RN experience in oncology required
  • Ability to role model and support practices consistent with evidenced based care, guide others with plan of care, independently make clinical decisions in complex situations, and proactively assist others with patient assignment.

Salary Range: Minimum 42.34/hour - Maximum 65.62/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
