Position Summary:
- Under general supervision, perform master journey-level work in the repair, maintenance, service, modification, troubleshooting, inspection and monitoring of the operation of heating, ventilating, air conditioning and refrigeration equipment and associated plumbing, electrical, mechanical, BAS (Building Automated System) and controls systems.
- Demonstrate behaviors supporting Sibley Memorial Hospital’s mission to deliver excellent and compassionate care every patient, every time.
- Within job function leverage the Lean methodology and be a role model in innovation.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
- High school graduate or G.E.D.
- Certificate preferred or equivalent combination of training and experience is necessary.
Experience:
- Four years journeyman experience working as an HVAC Technician in commercial, industrial, or large facilities environment.
Licensure:
- Ability to complete the following trainings as required:
- Lock out tag out
- Fall arrest
- Confined space
- SDS
- Asbestos and lead identification
- Ladder safety
- Emergency evacuation
- In-house OSHA and respirator training.
