Summary
Plays a critical role in helping document the control environment and identifying risks. Works closely with Accounting Operations, Financial Reporting, and Specialized Accounting.
Essential Functions
•
Execute COSO control testing, including walkthroughs and operating effectiveness testing, in accordance with established control plans.
•
Maintain risk and control documentation, including narratives, control descriptions, and testing evidence.
•
Identify control deficiencies, document findings, and track remediation actions to closure.
•
Coordinate with process owners across Accounting Ops, Financial Reporting, and Specialized Accounting to support control execution.
•
Perform reviews of key close controls to ensure timely and complete completion.
•
Review Blackline reconciliations for consistency and to ensure adequate support.
•
Support internal and external audit requests, including PBC preparation and walkthrough facilitation.
•
Assist in the continuous improvement of the control environment through standardization and best practices.
Qualifications
•
Bachelor's Degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field (Required)
•
Master's Degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field (Preferred)
•
One year of relevant education may be substituted for one year of required work experience,rience or one year of relevant professional-level work experience may be substituted for one year of required education.
•
5+ years of experience in financial analysis, accounting, or a related field (Required)
•

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an emphasis on confidentiality, tact, and diplomacy.

Addresses problems that are varied, requiring analysis or interpretation of the situation using direct observation, knowledge, and skills based on general precedents.
Applies in-depth and/or broad knowledge, skills, and practices to perform a variety of difficult assignments in Finance.
Comprehensive, in-, depth or broad knowledge of Finance.
Works on assignments of large scope, impact, and/or importance.
Participates in and contributes to departmental cost-saving initiatives.
Intermediate proficiency and experience uthe sing Microsoft Office Package (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) (Preferred)
Salary Range: $34.41/hour - $56.82/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
