The Immunodysregulation Program within the Cancer and Blood Disorders Institute at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital is seeking an advanced practice practitioner to join our growing team. The program delivers specialized clinical care to children and young adults with complex immune, hyperinflammatory, and autoimmune conditions, most commonly resulting from inborn errors of immunity. We collaborate closely with the Immuno‑Hematology Program and the Bone Marrow Transplant Program, as many patients with immunodysregulation have co‑existing hematologic disorders and/or may require bone marrow transplantation. The program is actively involved in multiple clinical trials focused on immune dysregulation and is a member of both the Primary Immunodeficiency Treatment Consortium and the North American Immuno‑Hematology Clinical Education and Research Consortium.

Position: 20 hours per week, outpatient services

Qualifications:

  • Current Florida State Licensure as APRN or PA.
  • Current BLS and / or PALS.
  • Current National Certification as a: Pediatric Nurse Practitioner- Primary Care, Pediatric Nurse Practitioner-Acute Care, Family Nurse Practitioner
  • Clinical Master’s Degree in Nursing / DNP or NCCPA.
  • BLS and PALS certifications.
  • 1-2 years Hem/Oncology experience required.
  • Bone marrow transplant (BMT) exposure preferred.
  • Experience working across hematology subspecialties preferred.

Clinical Care Responsibilities

  • Manage internal and external referrals including participating in multi-disciplinary discussions both internally and externally, serving as primary clinical contact for patients.
  • Participate in future development of clinical programs.
  • Conduct comprehensive face-to-face patient evaluations in outpatient clinic and infusion center settings.
  • Manage specialty medications including non-formulary and off-label therapies commonly required in rare hematologic and immunologic conditions.
  • Perform detailed history and physical examinations, review diagnostic results, and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Provide disease education and counseling to patients and families regarding diagnosis, treatment plans, medications, and long-term management.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary care with physicians, nurses, pharmacists, social workers, transplant coordinators, and subspecialists.
  • Participate in urgent patient triage, symptom management, and follow-up care for medically complex pediatric patients.
  • Complete detailed clinical documentation following patient encounters.

Salary Range: Minimum 51.03/hour - Maximum 79.10/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
