The Johns Hopkins Hospital Outpatient Prep/PACU unit has a total of 18 beds (10 phase I and 8 phase II).You will provide pre and post anesthesia care for newborn to adult patients. Occasionally procedures may be done and patients are admitted to an inpatient unit. Most common surgical services: dental, urology, gynecology, hand surgery, neurology, otolaryngology/ head and neck, plastics, surgical oncology, and sports medicine.

The Clinical Nurse Lead provides guidance and direction to staff and acts in the absence of the Assistant Nurse Manager/Nurse Manager to oversee a clinical team during care delivery and unit operations.

Who Should Apply:

  • BSN or MSN in Nursing required
  • Active Maryland or Compact RN license is required
  • BLS CPR certification required
  • Must have RN experience; Prep/PACU experience preferred
  • Ability to lead others, assist in the development & implementation of procedures for the unit, use principles of conflict resolution, recommend resource utilization, and implement performance management of staff.

Salary Range: Minimum 47.96/hour - Maximum 74.34/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
