Johns Hopkins Hospital, renowned for its excellence in healthcare and patient care, is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Abdominal Transplant Nurse Practitioner I or Physician Assistant I to join our dynamic Transplant Services team. Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Abdominal Transplant NP or PA to provide comprehensive care for our transplant patients. In this role, you will work collaboratively with our transplant surgeons, physicians, and multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional care to patients undergoing abdominal organ transplants, including liver, kidney, and pancreas transplants.

Schedule:

Rotating 10-hour shifts; Monday – Friday, weekends and holidays included.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure the evaluation process is complete and thorough.
  • Coordinate and manage the care of pre/post-transplant patients while they are hospitalized.
  • Collaborate with physicians, surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients.
  • Provide patient education on transplant procedures, medications, and post-operative care.
  • Participate in research and quality improvement initiatives related to transplant services.

Qualifications:

  • Master's or Doctorate degree in Nursing from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program or from a Physician Assistant program.
  • Current Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license in the state of Maryland.
  • Board certification as an Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
  • Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in transplant services or a related field preferred, but not mandatory.
  • Physician Assistants with inpatient experience preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.

Salary Range: Minimum 58.03/hour - Maximum 89.94/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
