As a 259-bed teaching hospital with more than half of its beds dedicated to intensive care services, we serve as the regional pediatric referral center for Florida’s west coast, providing advanced critical care, complex surgical procedures, and innovative therapies. Through strong community partnerships, we also support neonatology and pediatric services across the region.

Recognized as a Magnet® designated hospital by the ANCC, we uphold the highest standards in nursing and patient care while fostering a culture of compassion, teamwork, and professional excellence.

The Neonatal Follow-Up Program provides specialized care for premature and critically ill infants after NICU discharge, focusing on improving growth, nutrition, and neurodevelopmental outcomes. The program supports babies with complex medical and developmental needs through multidisciplinary care, research, and provider training.

Specialized follow-up cohorts include infants with Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome (NAS), neurologic conditions such as HIE, IVH, stroke, and seizures, as well as extremely low and very low birth weight babies.
