Join Our Team at The Johns Hopkins Hospital – Specialty Nurse Neonatal ICU Lactation Consultant

Weekly Working Hours: 40 hours per week

Shift: Day Shift

The Neonatal ICU Lactation Consultant is an important member of the multi-disciplinary team who is responsible for the coordination, planning, and monitoring of patients and families related to breastfeeding. They will develop feeding plans to include breastfeeding and breast pump support as needed and provide education to patients, families, and staff. The Lactation Consultant will conduct daily bedside lactation rounds and serve as a breastfeeding advocate.

Qualifications:

  • BSN (Required) MSN (Preferred)
  • RN-Registered Nurse License (Required)
  • CPR - Basic CPR (Required)
  • IBCLC Certification (Required)
  • 3 year of nursing experience (Required)
  • Prior Level III or IV NICU experience (Required)

Salary Range: Minimum 43.61/hour - Maximum 67.59/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
