Job Details & Qualifications:

When your child needs care, our compassionate team brings years of experience in meeting the unique medical needs of children of all ages. At Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital, we are proud to be a premier clinical and academic health system delivering expert pediatric care for infants, children, and teens facing some of the most complex medical conditions. Ranked the #1 Children’s Hospital in Florida and nationally recognized in specialties including Cardiology, Endocrinology, and more, we are committed to advancing pediatric healthcare through innovation, collaboration, and excellence.

With more than half of our 259-bed teaching hospital dedicated to intensive care services, we serve as the regional pediatric referral center for Florida’s west coast. Physicians and community hospitals rely on us to care for critically ill patients, perform complex surgical procedures, and provide access to innovative treatments and therapies. Through strong community partnerships, we also manage neonatology and additional pediatric services at several hospitals across the region.

As a Magnet® designated hospital by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), the world’s largest and most prestigious nursing credentialing organization, we are at the forefront of healthcare and nursing practice. Our Nurse Managers and clinical leaders play a vital role in upholding the highest standards of patient care while fostering a culture of compassion, teamwork, and professional excellence.

The Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital Pediatric RN Residency is dedicated to providing a 12-month foundational program for the graduate or otherwise eligible nurse to provide the support and knowledge to grow into a competent pediatric professional practitioner.

The Hematology-Oncology Unit (7 South) is a 28-bed pediatric unit that cares for patients of all ages and acuity levels. With specialized nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:3–4 for hematology-oncology patients and 1:2 for blood and marrow transplant patients, the unit provides high-quality, individualized care. As part of the Cancer & Blood Disorders Institute, the team offers advanced treatments for children, teens, and young adults with cancers and blood disorders, including leukemia and sickle cell disease. The hospital is also the first children’s hospital in Florida certified to provide CAR-T therapy, highlighting its commitment to innovative care and improved outcomes.

Our Hematology-oncology unit is part of our Cancer and Blood Disorders Institute. This 28 bed unit serves children of all acuity levels and ages. Our team treats patients with both common and rare cancers and blood disorders.

"The self-care sessions offered throughout the RN residency program were invaluable. These sessions provided a dedicated space for our large cohort to break into small groups to step away from the clinical demands of new grad nursing and openly discuss the emotional challenges we faced. This experience allowed us to feel heard and supported by each other. It helped us navigate difficult early experiences while equipping us with the tools to handle similar situations in the future" - Lindsey B, Cohort 36 HEM/ONC
