The Nutrition Utility Tech (Dishwasher) performs a variety of sanitation duties within the Food & Nutrition Department, with an emphasis on maintaining a clean and sanitary environment.
The Utility Technician’s responsibilities are divided into three areas of coverage: general kitchen sanitation, ware washing and dish room maintenance.
Responsible for performing various kitchen cleaning and storage activities such as but not limited to dishwashing, pot washing, general and equipment cleaning, storage and rotation of food supplies

HS diploma or equivalent preferred but not required
Work Experience:
Previous experience in a healthcare setting or food service is a plus
Essential Functions:

• Set up and break down work area including three compartment sink, dish machine and mop buckets
• Maintain logs on dish machine and pot sink ensuring meeting established standards
• Collect dirty patient trays from patient units and returns to dish room for scraping and cleaning, ensuring all
food is scraped in compost bin.
• Perform proper cleaning and sanitizing of pots, pans and utensils through the 3-pot sink and dish machine.
• Ensure all dishes, pots, pans, utensils and service ware are cleaned properly and allowed to air-dry before
storage.
• Breakdown dish machine each night ensure scrap trays cleaned thoroughly.
• Delime dish machine weekly to remove lime scale build up.
• Restock patient line with trays, bases, lids and plates to ensure smooth operation of the tray line.
• Pull trash, breaks down boxes and places in dumpster or trash compactor.
• Sweep, mop and deep clean kitchen and storage rooms using floor scrubber.
• Refill soap and paper towel dispensers throughout kitchen and cafeteria.
• Assist with detailed kitchen cleaning as assigned.

Salary Range: Minimum 18.06/hour - Maximum 20.87/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
