This position provides feedback, support, and education to collaborators and customers with the primary goal of achieving accountability and compliance with all metrics supporting programmatic work stemming from JHM, HSCRC, and other regulatory agencies. Works in conjunction with Patient Safety and Quality leaders to identify performance improvement (PI) opportunities and needs. Responsible for effectively facilitating performance improvement teams. Participates in Joint Commission and other regulatory compliance-related activities, and/or other organization-wide projects. The position requires collaboration with appropriate staff, disciplines, and departments in developing and overseeing the implementation of plans of corrective action. Serves as a technical expert to others for an understanding of the data related to organizational performance. Communication is required internally and externally to persuade or gain cooperation and acceptance of ideas and processes. Strong analytics experience and expertise are necessary to operate in the electronic medical record and multiple data and software platforms to data mine and analyze information to develop and summarize complex data. Awareness of local, state, and federal policies stemming from the annual Inpatient Prospective Payment System, Maryland Health Services Cost Review Commission, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid, and the Joint Commission is essential for guiding a high-reliability organization.
Internal clients include but are not limited to Quality and Patient Safety leaders across the health system (e.g., Vice Presidents, Executive Directors, Managers, and Functional Unit Directors). External clients include but are not limited to regulatory agencies, vendors, and consultants.
Work Experience and Education Requirements:
Three (3) years of relevant experience required, preferably in health care or project management. Consultant or operations experience strongly desired. A bachelor’s degree from an accredited university is required. A master’s degree in Business, Health Administration, or another relevant field is preferred.
Completion/ Certification of Project Management Professional (PMP), Six Sigma, Lean, or similar training preferred.
Salary Range: $31.53/hour - $52.06 hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
