SUMMARY

The Pediatric Social Work Supervisor leads the daily clinical and administrative operations of the Social Work department, serving as an expert clinician, mentor, and strategic partner. This role drives high-quality social work practice, effective care coordination, and continuous improvement to support strong patient outcomes across the organization.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Provides clinical and administrative supervision, consultation, and coaching to social work staff.
  • Supports staff development, performance management, and COMAR-compliant clinical supervision.
  • Partners with Case Management, Utilization Management, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure timely, patient-centered care transitions.
  • Assists with length of stay management and complex discharge planning.
  • Collaborates on policy, program development, staffing, budgeting, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Builds strong relationships with internal teams and community partners.
  • May participate in research, education, student coordination, and direct patient care as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • MSW required
  • LCSW-C required
  • Board Approved Clinical Supervisor, Maryland Board of Social Work Examiners
  • Strong leadership, communication, and clinical decision-making skills

Salary Range: Minimum 38.44/hour - Maximum 67.27/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
