Lead Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
Howard County General Hospital is seeking an experienced Lead Registered Respiratory Therapist to support the Respiratory Therapy department through clinical leadership, staff coordination, and high-quality patient care. In this role, you will help coordinate daily staffing coverage, provide direct respiratory care across the hospital, mentor team members, and support equipment and supply management. You’ll work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure safe, effective respiratory services.

Responsibilities
Coordinate respiratory therapy staffing and patient care coverage.
Provide direct respiratory care across hospital units.
Assist staff with assessments, procedures, and documentation.
Mentor and support respiratory therapy team members.
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
Monitor supply and equipment needs.
Oversee cleaning, calibration, and maintenance of respiratory equipment.
Qualifications
Graduate of an approved Respiratory Care Practitioner program.
Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
5 years of respiratory therapy experience.
Current Maryland Respiratory Care license.
Current NBRC RRT credential.
BLS certification required.
ACLS required within 6 months of hire.
Salary Range: Minimum 39.56/hour - Maximum 65.34/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
