Position Summary:

The Patient Service and Authorization Coordinator coordinates activities and all administrative tasks for patients and their designated physicians. This position requires initial and follow-up care coordination within a multifaceted clinical office. The candidate must regularly contact patients, patient families, physicians, insurance companies, and third-party insurance companies related to patient care.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Minimum of two-year work experience in a medical office
  • Comprehensive knowledge of medical terminology required
  • Comprehensive knowledge of insurance terminology and insurance plans required
  • Customer service skills required
  • Computer and Technology Skills required
  • Organizational Skills and proofreading skills required
  • Demonstrated ability for self-direction, initiation, and handling of multiple tasks required
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team required

Shift:

  • 7:00am - 3:30pm - Monday - Friday

Salary Range: Minimum 18.00/hour - Maximum 23.00/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
