Weekly Working Hours: 40 hours/week; Full Time benefitted

Shift: Day Shift; 5:30a – 2p (MTWF) & 6:30a - 3p (TH)

**No weekends, holidays or on call required**

The Patient Care Technician (PCT) performs direct patient care tasks under the supervision of a nurse and taking into consideration the developmental needs of the patient, performs routine patient activities and delegated patient care procedures of a specialized and technical nature as competency documentation designates. The PCT utilizes basic clinical skills to support daily patient care activities, accurately records and reports pertinent clinical information, and demonstrates proficiency in the use of specialized patient care equipment to ensure a safe and supportive care environment.

  • Provides personal care for patient including hygiene and physical comfort measures
  • Provide patients with clear explanations of the pre-operative process and answer basic questions to support a positive patient experience
  • Obtain and document vital signs, reporting changes or concerns promptly to the nursing team
  • Perform peripheral IV insertion and collect blood specimens as directed

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School graduate or equivalent
  • Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification on Maryland Board of Nursing
  • Current BLS CPR certification provided by AHA, American Red Cross, or Military Training Network
  • One year of clinical experience is required
  • Ability to independently perform blood draws & start IVs without direct supervision preferred

Salary Range: Minimum 20.08/hour - Maximum 31.13/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
