General Summary:
- As a clinical perfusionist, will monitor and operate an array of extracorporeal equipment during surgery at Johns Hopkins Hospital.
- As lead perfusionist, will assist the Chief Perfusionist in monitoring the clinical expertise of the perfusion staff, manage payroll and clinical schedule, manage the day-to-day operations in tandem or in lieu of the chief perfusionist depending on chief’s availability. Performs as a clinical instructor. Educates hospital staff and visitors about the practice of perfusion. Has on call and weekend responsibilities as determined by chief perfusionist.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Successful graduation from an American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion accredited cardiovascular training program
- Minimum of 5 years experience in clinical care as a pediatric perfusionist
- Requires current status of Certified Clinical Perfusionist (CCP) by the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion (ABCP) and state licensure by the Maryland Board of Physicians.
Salary Range: Minimum 74.29/hour - Maximum 122.60/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
