General Summary:
- Provides clinical support, and transportation services and activities to promote patient comfort and satisfaction. Works under the direction of a Registered Nurse. In addition, under the direction of RN and in cooperation with all the members of the patient care team, performs a wide range of duties including clerical, materials management, environmental and interdepartmental/intradepartmental communication to fully support the peri-operative unit. Utilizes information systems, maintains inventory supply, performs operating and procedure room turnover, picks items and equipment needed for surgical procedures, transports specimens to the lab, aids in OR/PR set up, as well as assisting nursing and medical personnel in other delegated direct and indirect patient care activities. Contributes to a positive work environment as an active team member with a commitment to learning and skill development. The JHSCS OR Equipment Technician will primarily work in the Operating & Procedure Room and occasionally flex to other units to meet the daily operational needs of the JHSCS.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 1 year recent experience in a healthcare environment
Shift :
Day Shift
Salary Range: Minimum 16.25/hour - Maximum 23.25/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
