Specific Duties And Responsibilities Licensed Mental Health Therapist or Licensed Clinical Social Worker to provide mental health treatment to children, pre-teens, older teens, and their families.


Clinician responsible for:

  • providing individual and family treatment to school age children, pre-teens, and older teens with varying psychiatric diagnoses
  • providing treatment to patients whose parents’ primary language is Spanish which will require work with hospital provided language interpretation services
  • interacting with team physician and other team members
  • adherence to Joint Commission documentation requirements
  • meeting monthly volume of service requirements and provision of case management and outreach to ancillary providers as needed
  • Graduate-level licensure supervision provided if needed

Professional Licensures/Certifications Masters degree in counseling or clinical social work from an accredited school
Maryland LGPC, LCPC, LMSW or LCSW-C


Preferred Education Requirement Focus on clinical work with children, pre-teens, teens and families is preferred but not necessary
Preferred Years of Experience

  • Masters level academic clinical internship or employment in a setting working with children, teens, young adults and/or families for a minimum period of 6 months is required
  • Familiarity with and/or previous use of evidenced-based treatment interventions preferred (DBT, CBT, IPT-A, TFCBT)
