U.S. News & World Report Announces Best Hospitals for 2025–26

U.S. News & World Report released its Best Hospitals 2025–26 Honor Roll today, and The Johns Hopkins Hospital has again been named one of the top 20 hospitals in the nation.

The Johns Hopkins Hospital ranked #1 in Maryland and Baltimore. In addition, U.S. News & World Report ranks specialty practice areas. Twelve of the hospital’s medical specialties were ranked among the top 10 of their respective fields, with Rheumatology ranked #1 for the 21st consecutive year.

For the third year, U.S. News chose not to assign numerical rankings to the top 20 hospitals named to the Honor Roll; instead, the publication lists alphabetically all hospitals that scored enough points to earn Honor Roll status.

We also extend congratulations to Sibley Memorial Hospital and Suburban Hospital. Suburban Hospital achieved a top 10 ranking in Maryland and the Washington metropolitan region. Sibley Memorial Hospital earned a top 10 ranking in the Washington metropolitan area.

We are deeply honored to be recognized as one of the best in the nation. While rankings can’t fully capture all the qualities that embody our excellent patient care, acknowledgement from U.S. News & World Report is a meaningful reflection of the incredible dedication of our physicians, nurses and staff members. It illustrates their unwavering compassion and commitment, which is shown in countless ways, every single day.
