POSITION SUMMARY:
This patient access educator is responsible for the onboarding of new Patient Service Representatives hired by Ambulatory Services. This position requires an organized approach to onboarding new employees, from their initial hiring through orientation and on into their successful long-term employment.
Hours: Day Shift, Full Time, 40 Hours Per Week
Shift: 8am-5pm
Location: St Petersburg, FL
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Reaches out to the new hire to welcome them and inform them of their orientation plan and schedule
- Develops a core group of preceptors who are engaged in teaching, responsive to new team member’s needs, and able to support their learning
- Partners with Managers to assure onboarding and training supports successful KPI measures and strategic goals
- Regularly walks in the shoes of Patient Service Representatives to assure understanding of patient and clinic work flow
- Assures that the new employee file is complete and inclusive of training
- Offers in-services on identified opportunities and new processes
- Measures turnover rates and suggests improvement strategies to reduce turnover
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree, preferred
- EPIC EMR experience, preferred
- 2 years experience in creating education and training for adult learners
- Experience in health care admissions or registration, including financial responsibility work flows
- Strong people skills. PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Salary Range: Minimum 20.31 per hour - Maximum 32.50 per hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
