POSITION SUMMARY:
The Manager of Financial Analysis is responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial activities, strategic data models, and analyses, integrating advanced financial techniques and standard methodologies. This role involves managing a team of Financial Analysts and Senior Financial Analysts to ensure accurate and meaningful deliverables to management and executive leadership. The Manager will play a crucial role in the annual operating budget, collaborating with department heads, executive staff, and finance leadership. Additionally, this position involves maintaining advanced knowledge of financial systems and leveraging them for high-quality and accurate deliverables, contributing to continuous improvement.
Key Accountabilities:
Team Management: Lead and manage a team of Financial Analysts and Senior Financial Analysts, ensuring accurate and meaningful deliverables. Guides the staff in developing feasibility analyses, Pro Forma statements, and A3’s using standard and advanced financial techniques. Verifies the accuracy of the staff output before distribution.
Financial Analysis: Consult with operational leads to understand needs and apply skills and knowledge to independently research the best path; generate viable solutions to enable stakeholders to improve financial understanding, tracking and performance.
Performance Monitoring: Accountable for monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) related to cost and practice variations in both internal practice and external benchmarks.
Budget Development and Collaboration: Work collaboratively with department heads, executive staff, and finance leadership to develop the annual operating budget.
Performance Improvement Plans: Identify and implement opportunities to improve the performance, functionality, accuracy, and timeliness of processes and systems to increase throughput, reliability, and quality.
Business Planning: Responsible for contributing to evaluating new programs/existing program growth in conjunction with Department leadership and other service line directors.
Expense Reduction and Business Plan Implementation: Assist in identifying opportunities for reduced expenses per unit of service and participate in developing, implementing, and monitoring the Institute/Department strategic and business plan.
Communication: Communicate timely, effectively, and appropriately with co-workers, supervisors, and customers to ensure all interactions meet high standards of service excellence.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Master’s in Business Administration (MBA), CPA, or Master's in Healthcare Administration (MHA) preferred.
- Experience in hospital finance required, with five years of management experience.
- Proven leadership skills and extensive knowledge of financial business processes in a healthcare setting.
- Strong team leadership skills, problem-solving skills, and the ability to take initiative and work independently with minimal direction.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
Salary Range: Minimum $49.07 per hour - Maximum $85.89 per hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
