Position Details:
Full Time, 40 hours per week; benefitted
The Clinical Associate ensures the coordination, facilitation, and delivery of quality patient care at Sibley Memorial Hospital in support of members of the Sibley Physicians Group (SPG). Through skilled triage and assessment, education, collaboration and coordination of healthcare and community resources, the Clinical Associate assists patients to achieve optimum functional health status and quality of life. This position would be a part of the Department of Gynecological Oncology Surgery & Gynecological Surgery.
Minimum Requirements:
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Certified Nursing Assistance license or equivalent, comparable training/job experience and ability to demonstrate needed skills.
- CPR training is required; basic life support training/certification.
- Three (3) years clinical experience of which at least one (1) year has been oncology experience.
Skill & Abilities Required:
- Knowledge of healthcare systems and organizations and basic medical terminology.
- Effective communications skills: Talking and writing to others to successfully convey information, listening to, and understanding information and ideas presented through spoken or written words and sentences.
- Knowledge of the information and techniques needed to diagnose and treat. This includes symptoms, treatment alternatives, drug properties and interactions, and preventive health care measures.
- Decision making and judgment skills: weighing the relative costs and benefits of a potential action.
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services including needs assessment techniques, quality service standards, alternative delivery systems, and customer satisfaction evaluation techniques.
- Ability to use appropriate practice management and electronic health record software applications.
Salary Range: Minimum 17.50 per hour - Maximum 28.03 per hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
