The Johns Hopkins Hospital – Oncology Ambulatory/Urgent Care Center
Baltimore, MD
Exciting opportunity to provide urgent medical care to established adult oncology patients.
Provide an avenue for appropriate oncology patients to be evaluated and treated for urgent oncology needs.
Keep our high-risk patients from unnecessary ED visits.
Schedule:
- Full Time – 40 hours per week; 12-hour night shifts; weekend rotation
Qualifications:
- MSN/DNP/PA from an accredited program required
- Board certification as an Nurse Practitioner (ANCC, AANP) or Physician Associate (NCCPA)
- Active Maryland license or license eligible
- BLS/ ACLS CPR certification required: AHA, Red Cross, or Military Training Network accepted
- 2 years of APP work experience preferred but not required (oncology/Emergency/inpatient medicine preferred)
Job Responsibilities:
- Urgent Care Provider for all oncology patients, including radiation oncology, solid tumor and hematologic malignancy patients.
- Perform comprehensive physical exams of oncology patients
- Prescribe all necessary medications and treatments including diagnostic interpretation
- Manage acute toxicities of treatment as well as late effects
- Facilitate referrals to other healthcare professionals within the system
- Collaboration with longitudinal providers or specialists regarding care.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team
Salary Range: Minimum $55.81/hour - Maximum $86.51/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
